Spending time preparing for assessments is vital and whilst the majority of those should be done under your own guidance being able to touch base and have a check up with a current assessor is very useful. It could be that your training was a number of years ago, you cant quite remember certain information or you just want a bit of feedback on how you are getting on, that is exactly what this Summer Mountain Leader Assessment Preparation course if for.
This 2 day course is designed to do that, it is also a great way to keep your skills fresh once you have passed the award as well.
Summer Mountain Leader Assessment Preparation Programme
The programme for this course is very much driven by the needs and wishes of the attending and we will spend time on the first morning discussing what people would like to get out of the two days.
Generally one day the focus is on navigation and the second day the focus is on managing group in steep ground and rope work. Leadership, environmental knowledge and other areas of the award will be looked at holistically through out the course.
